- Planys Technologies is an IIT Madras incubated start-up company that provides immersed robotic inspection and survey solutions using indigenously manufactured submersible remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). Founders of the company are recent IIT Madras Alumni and faculty from Mechanical Engineering.

- Planys Technologies aims to cover the whole breadth of automated inspection solutions starting from customized design and fabrication of robotic platforms to integrated sensing and diagnostics. Technician

Classification: Full time/ Regular

Job Description :

- Perform technical and administrative engineering tasks for product development and maintenance of ROV and its sub systems in support of company objectives. The task includes:

- Regular maintenance of ROVs, their sub systems and producing maintenance reports

- Maintaining the stores and updating the stores list on a periodic basis

- Support in vendor selection and vendor management

- Procurement of raw material and consumables from vendors

- Assist in manufacturing by providing drawings to vendors and getting the fabrication done

- Provide engineering information, maintenance and repair support as per request

- Assisting in transportation and testing of ROV and its sub modules

- Maintenance of job specific setups required by operations team

- Support in operations of ROV system on need basis

Educational Qualifications : Diploma or associate's degree or certification in manufacturing/maintenance

Recommended Skills :

- Prior hands-on experience in manufacturing of mechanical systems

- Proficient in handling hand tools and power tools

- Good manual dexterity, problem solving skills, communication skills and team work

- Ability to work independently and willingness to learn

- Good physical condition and strength and willingness to work overtime Experience:

- Prior experience in manufacturing and handling tools or expertise which can be demonstrated through past work experience
