Process Engineer/Project Engineer - Chemicals (3-6 yrs)

B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Tier 1 institutes such as IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani/ICT (UDCT) is mandatory.

Title & Grade : Process Engineer (Deputy Manager)
Department : Process
Reports To : Manufacturing Manager
Preferred Work Experience : 3-6 years as Process Engineer/Projects Engineer in Specialty Chemicals/Fine Chemicals industries only
Salary Range : 12-16 Lpa
Preferred Education Background :
- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Tier 1 institutes such as IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani/ICT (UDCT) is mandatory.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
1. Scale-up new processes (and work on New Production Introduction) from lab scale to plant scale
2. Design processes and develop PFD, P&ID, mass-energy balance & basic engineering package
3. Prepare equipment list, cause & effect
4. Equipment sizing, line sizing, equipment selection
5. Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP, management of change reviews
6. Review technical offers from vendors/consultants
7. Perform commissioning trials and ensure effective technology transfer to Operations
PSRM & EHS Awareness :
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments, HAZOP, LOPA, Hazard Identification,
Required Skill Set :
- Knowledge of industry standards in Process Engineering
- Good communication & time management skills
