Profile - Procurement Manager - Electricals

Qualification - Graduate/Postgraduate in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Experience - Min. 4- 8 years of experience in procurement of electrical equipment, preferably in renewable energy or EPC projects.Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, contract law, and electrical procurement governance.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP B1/Zoho/Oracle) and procurement analytics tools.Excellent negotiation, communication, and escalation management skills.

Salary - Upto 10 LPA CTC

Role Purpose:

The Procurement Manager - Electricals will lead the end-to-end procurement of electrical equipment and systems required for renewable energy projects. This role ensures that sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations for electrical components are aligned with governance standards, compliance frameworks, and operational efficiency goals. The position is critical in driving cost optimization, building strong supplier partnerships, and maintaining audit-ready documentation to support Sunfan's EPC and O&M activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy & Governance:

- Develop and implement procurement policies specific to electrical equipment and systems.

- Ensure procurement processes are transparent, defensible, and compliant with statutory requirements.

Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for transformers, switchgear, cables, inverters, SCADA systems, and other electrical components.

- Maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor performance, and escalate issues with documented evidence.

- Conduct periodic vendor audits to ensure adherence to technical and contractual obligations.

Contract Negotiation & Compliance:

- Lead negotiations with electrical equipment suppliers to secure favorable terms while mitigating risks.

- Draft, review, and manage contracts ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and technical standards.

- Maintain a repository of contracts and procurement records for instant retrieval during audits.

Operational Procurement:

- Oversee requisition approvals, purchase orders, and delivery schedules for electrical materials.

- Ensure timely procurement to support project execution and commissioning.

- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align procurement with technical and budgetary needs.

Market Intelligence & Cost Optimization:

- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks for electrical equipment.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or compliance.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare periodic procurement reports for management review.

- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, vendor communications, and escalations.
