RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Key part of the supply organization for all existing businesses in Ethiopia, or any future acquisitions.
- Reporting into Supply Director
-Responsible for all procurements including Capex, Production Spends (RM/ PM), Consumables as well as non-production spends (Marketing spends, Freght contracts, warehouses, IT related spends, Financial terms negotiations)
- Responsible for bringing a strategic, synergistic approach to procurement function combining purchasing across the 7 different companies of many capital.
- Responsible for setting up standardized, transparent, best in class process for procurement in the organization
- Proactive scouting of best in class pool of vendors for all kinds of procurement
- Implementing long term rate contracts and negotiate terms of trade agreements with the preferred vendors.
- Coordinate with the central company management as well as production planners to determine rolling forecasts for procurement, as well as capex plans basis 5 year company plans
- Coordinate for imports from India/ other countries to meet the procurement needs
- Working capital management to meet recurring procurement needs
- Leading a team of procurement managers- on-shore as well as off-shore
- Coordinating with forwarding agents for seamless export of purchased goods
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and procurement function, with working knowledge of Production/ planning.
