Product Cost Management Lead Engineer (0-3 yrs)

Missions are:

1 : Perform Comparative Analysis ( Track support)

- Benchmark : Analyse and estimate the functional architecture of existing products

- Isolate the cost of identified functions.

- Bring out the parameters influencing the cost.

- Transpose the analysis parameters of the new study.

- Manage and propose areas for improvement and optimization.

- Competition : Calculation the cost of competitor devices

- By analogy with Schneider's product or similar, build the cost breakdown.

- Bring a critical vision (Architecture, Technicality, Industrialization, ...)

- Identify assumptions.

- Using specialist know how.

- Evaluate investment process and tools.

- Provide a summary file.

- Partnership :To provide expertise & knowledge in cost breakdown

- Position itself as an expert.

- Ensure that the assumptions and rules are clear and realistic costings.

- Make critically about.

2 : Animation Analysis of Anticipation (before select)

- Define the potential target cost.

- Knowing the anticipation programs

- Quantify the functional blocks and concepts.

- Highlight the important parameters of the cost analysis.

- Forecast costs on potential architectures.

- Assist in the decision.

- orienting the objective cost of device in design

- Estimate cost of - star product -

- Apply the rules of analogy and "best practice" targeted on the perimeter.

- Quantify the differences between marketing objectives and imagined architectures.

3 : Consolidate Product Cost in PMP

- Costing the different architectures products and processes

- Costing the " star product" target

- Assess the global supply chain.

- Be based on industrialization specialists.

- Identify assumptions and significant parameters.

- Determine the consolidated target product costs.

- Provide target objective to the purchasing department (parts and sub assembly)

- Identify gaps for improvement and optimization.

- Implement Onyx flow.

- Constitute the cost deliverable (using template, tracking graph)

- Capitalize on existing products and processes.

- Update, based on new evidence, indicators of cost used in the project.

- Integrate supplier commitments.

- Share cost file with manufacturing plants

- Participate in the transfer of responsibility for the project to production

- Confirm with stakeholders the ramp up assumptions

- Analyse and minimize the costs of production ramp-up

- Proposing corrective actions

4 : Post Sell & PEP Challenges

- Post sell follow up.

- Follow up star product reference.

- Quarterly, collect current manufacturing datas.

- Compare current vision with project forecast.

- Analyse variances (currency, quantity, RMi, Labor efficiency, purchasing cost, ....).

- Challenge gap & give trends.

- Consolidated vision & share with plant & lines of business.

- Continuous engineering challenges

- Knowing the CE priority

- Knowing the current cost vision.

- Assure a consolidated vision & datas for analysis.

- Propose gaps and cost corrective actions.

- Promote design to cost study.

5 : Ensure Business Capitalization

- Enhance and Update Databases

- Manage and consolidate with purchasing & indus. Actors cost database Coca V1

- Annually update the different baselines

- Consolidate the process data (dmh, invest, hourly rate...)

- Capitalize periodically levers project cost shares.

- Enrich the parameters of the supply chain (tax, freight,)

- Anticipate new technologies ( 3D, electronic,

- Involve the update costing booklet & training.

- Method Statistics: Building a referential business (use values)

- Identify products and ratios of characteristic values (number of pieces, weight, ratio Ampere / weight, ratio RM / Labor .

- Identify process ratios and characteristic values (number of Dmh, typology, invest, number of parts, number of tools

- Periodically update the reference data

- Benckmark different sectors (Telephony, retail.

- Easybench : datas tool

- Implement Easybench datas base ( parts / functions / products).

- Datas Schneider & external datas (competitors).

Education, background & softskills

1. Preferably BE / B Tech (Mechanical / Industrialization).

2. Expert in MS EXCEL advanced level and PPT.

3. Strong in Analytical Skills.
