Role Overview:

Our Client is leading Indian EV Infrastructure and energy tech company focused on developing advanced EV Charging solutions, power electronics systems and Battery Technology,We are seeking a visionary and execution-driven Engineer LeadR&D to lead end-to-end development of integrated embedded and IoT products spanning firmware, hardware, cloud platforms, and application software.This role demands deep expertise in embedded systems, hardware-software co-design, semiconductor platforms, and scalable IoT architectures, along with the ability to align technology strategy with business growth objectives.The incumbent will own the complete product lifecycle- from concept and system architecture to deployment, commercialization, and lifecycle management- ensuring delivery of reliable, scalable, and market-ready solutions.

- End-to-End Product Engineering LeadershipLead development of integrated embedded products combining firmware, electronics, application software, and cloud platforms.Define and govern system-level architecture across hardware, embedded software, connectivity, and IoT ecosystems.Drive hardware-software co-design with electronics and mechanical teams.Oversee board bring-up, BSP development, device drivers, and firmware architecture.Ensure product optimization for performance, safety, manufacturability, cost-efficiency, scalability, and reliability.Establish robust validation frameworks including unit, integration, system, compliance, and field testing.

Technology Strategy & Architecture - Define long-term technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.Select and govern best-fit OS platforms (Embedded Linux, RTOS), tools, languages, and development frameworks.Evaluate and integrate microcontrollers, SoCs, connectivity modules, and semiconductor ecosystems.Architect secure IoT and cloud-connected systems (AWS IoT or equivalent platforms).Ensure cybersecurity, OTA/FOTA mechanisms, and lifecycle device management.Maintain version control, configuration management, and traceability across hardware and software builds

Program & Lifecycle Management - Own full product lifecycle including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone governance.Lead multi-disciplinary project execution across firmware, hardware, cloud, QA, and DevOps teams.Drive Agile/Hybrid development methodologies and CI/CD adoption.Establish change management, release governance, and documentation frameworks.Mitigate technical and program risks proactively

Business & P&L Alignment - Align R&D strategy with revenue goals and business growth objectives.Contribute to P&L ownership through cost optimization, vendor management, and design efficiency.Support pre-sales, customer engagements, product demos, and technical proposals.Translate market requirements into executable technical roadmaps.

Customer & Market Integration - Act as the - Voice of Customer- within R&D.Engage with key customers, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to co-create solutions.Incorporate customer feedback into product design, testing, and commercialization.Ensure products are market-ready, scalable, and competitive.

Team Leadership & Capability Building - Build, scale, and mentor high-performance engineering teams.Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, operations, and supply chain.Drive a culture of innovation, ownership, quality, and accountability.Develop succession plans and technical leadership depth within teams.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.Manage relationships with semiconductor vendors, technology partners, suppliers, and research bodies.Drive transparent communication across executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Experience - B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or related field.18+ years of progressive experience in embedded systems and integrated product development.Proven experience leading hardware-software integrated product teams delivering commercial products.

- Experience scaling engineering teams (20+ members preferred).Exposure to global collaboration and multi-site engineering environments.
