Main tasks :

- Securing smooth and effective production processes and continuous improvement of all relevant production processes.

- He/ she is responsible for an efficient introduction of new products into serial manufacturing:

In detail :

- Generation of production concepts (incl. generation of manufacturing lay outs, work place design, process and test instructions, process time allocation, manufacturing cost determination, etc.)

- Specification and validation of tools and test equipment

- Definition of appropriate methods for quality assurance

- Planning and coordination of the different production processes

- Securing premises with regard to material and production equipment to enable a cost efficient production in compliance with required volume, quality and delivery time objectives

- Collaboration as representative of production in product development team

- Suggestion for implementation of production- and product modifications and quality improvements e.g improved production utilization, reduction of rework and/ or scrap, etc.)

- Introduction of lean manufacturing methods

- Managing the workforce
