Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Production Engineer with proven expertise in heavy structural fabrication and strong command over welding processes, procedures, and quality standards. The role involves overseeing production activities, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and codes, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, monitor, and control day-to-day production activities in heavy structural fabrication.

- Interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.

- Supervise and guide welding teams, fabricators, and fitters to ensure quality output.

- Develop and implement welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) as per industry codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, welding codes, and client specifications.

- Coordinate with design, quality, and project teams to resolve technical challenges.

- Monitor production timelines, material utilization, and resource allocation.

- Implement safety practices and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

- Drive process improvements to reduce rework, enhance productivity, and optimize costs.

- Support training and upskilling of welders and production staff.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education : B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

Experience : [3- 6 years] in heavy structural fabrication with deep knowledge of welding technology.

Technical Skills:

- Expertise in welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW).

- Knowledge of welding metallurgy, defect analysis, and NDT techniques.

- Hands-on experience with fabrication shop practices, jigs, fixtures, and welding automation (preferred).

- Familiarity with WPS/PQR preparation and welder qualification tests.

- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
