Production Head - Automobile Industry (12-18 yrs)

The Company : A leading auto component / OEM mfg with multi location operations.

The Role : Responsible for achieving Production targets as per the plan with desired quality standards

Key Deliverables (including but not limited to) :

- Planning, Budgeting & organize and direct the organizational resources to ensure the achievement of business objectives

- Monitoring the expenses periodically against the budget and initiating appropriate measures

- Monthly production planning

- Ensuring optimum assigning of resources

- Responsible for managing the Production Including Assembly shop. Paint shop, Machine shop & Component Manufacturing shop pertaining to the BU.

- Coordinating with other departments like PMD, ME, PDE, QE &TOOL ROOM for effective utilization of resources in production area.

- Responsible for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

- Solving technical issues in the shop floor

- Monitoring corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints and in-house rejections and implementing the same.

- Controlling in process rejection there by reducing the cost of poor Quality

- Dispatch review & ensuring on time Delivery

- Inventory monitoring

- Responsible for productivity targets

- Sphere heading productivity improvement initiatives

- Ensuring harmonious relationship with employees & high morale in the Plant

- Maintaining smooth relations with customers and labor union

- Professional development of team

Person for the role :

- Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering with about 15 to 20 years of experience in operations (preferably in production) with minimum 5 years in the Managerial capacity in a Auto ancillary / OEM. 


- Experience in electronics hardware preferred.

- Knowledge of auto ancillary / OEM products, manufacturing processes, automation, stores, tooling, quality management processes and systems.

- Good understanding of plant safety, maintenance, product engineering and industrial engineering in a auto ancillary / OEM plant

- Business acumen and leadership ability including problem solving, analytical skills.
