A. Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and process-driven Production Manager to lead the complete shop floor operations of our expanding machinery manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in fabrication, CNC operations, laser cutting, bending, welding, painting, and assembly line management, with a strong background in lean manufacturing practices and team leadership.
B. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end production operations across multiple departments including:
- Fabrication & CNC machining
- Laser Cutting & Bending Machines
- Welding & Painting
- Final Assembly Lines
- Plan, schedule, and execute production orders to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor lean manufacturing practices, including:
- 5S Workplace Organization
- Kaizen and Continuous Improvement
- Standard Work Procedures
- Drive efficiency through line balancing, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of shop-floor supervisors, technicians, and operators.
- Collaborate with design, R&D, purchase, and QA teams to ensure manufacturability and timely execution.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management.
- Ensure strict adherence to ISO, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve productivity and quality.
C. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in a machinery or heavy fabrication industry.
- Proven expertise in handling CNC machines, sheet metal operations, welding, painting, and mechanical assembly.
- Strong knowledge and practical implementation of Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S.
- Experience in shop-floor digitization tools, ERP/MIS systems is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, process-building environment.
