Production Manager - Manufacturing Operations (10-20 yrs)

1. Scope of the job :
Job purpose - To plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities in order to achieve the budgeted production for the year with budgeted efficiency, quality and cost.
Key responsibilities :
- Planning a production schedule based on market requirements.
- Work closely with the commercial department to ensure timely availability of raw materials and maintain plant inventories at their optimal
- Maximizing line efficiency and minimizing downtime by putting in place strong systems for preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
- Ensuring preventive maintenance as per plan for bottling equipments.
- Monitoring and reducing of wastes in packaging
- Ensuring quality in packaging with stage-wise monitoring of various quality parameters.
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed in the plant
- Ensuring high levels of hygiene in the production area
- Preparation of estimates in respect of modernization, up gradation of the plant and production process and implementing any new projects in the packaging area
- To give on-the-job training to the subordinates
- To identify training programmes for self

4. Job holder profile
Qualifications : BE/B.Tech (mechanical)
Experience required : Must have minimum 10+years of experience in a manufacturing concern with prior experience in handling bottling lines of beverage / alcobev industry
Languages required : English and local language preferable
