Job Description:-

The Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers, anticipating the specific requirements for new programs (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), and ensuring the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program. The role selects and pilots suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program objectives. The Program Buyer belongs to the program core team within a Division/Region. Low complexity programs (# of parts, spend, geographic scope, etc).

The main missions of the role are:

- Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identify and consult suppliers, manages supplier RFQ based on panel given by the Commodity Buyers. Negotiate or participate with the Commodity Buyer in supplier negotiations and the final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers from list provided by commodity buyers)

- Follow direct performance during the program phase: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the program phase reviews are supported within the framework of the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS)

- Ensure early involvement of the Series Buyers in the program before the series phase

- Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers

- Negotiate Engineering Change Requests

Skill Set Required :-

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have/be :

- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.

- Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification

Experience :

- First experience or significant apprenticeship in purchasing preferably in an industrial environment.

Skills and competencies :

- Understanding of supplier cost structures

- Fluent English

- Good written and presentation skills

- Planning and organization skills

- International mindset

- Ability to work in a matrix organization

- Awareness of APQP and program management in automotive

- Another language depending on the region
