Program Lead Engineer - Chemical (3-10 yrs)
- Identify chemical risks of mixing chemistries (e.g. inorganic with organics)
- Verify chemical resistance of new or existing components (mainly plastics) when exposed to defined chemical
- Conduct material related tests for characterization and/or compatibility
- Drive material related failure analysis from units returned from field
- Test and define hardware limits related to chemical properties (viscosity, concentration, temperature, etc.)
- Drive the release of new chemicals on customer requests in alignment with design, safety & process
- Provide technical data in trade-off tables to summarize usable materials in the design/redesign phases with correlated risks.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in chemical domain.
- Education Qualifications: PhD/master's in chemical engineering.
Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:
- Experience in Materials Science, Chemistry, or relevant discipline, with a robust understanding of materials used in deposition groups, cleaning processes, and optoelectronic device packaging, particularly plastics.
- Demonstrate experience with thermoplastic and thermoset plastic materials, including their fabrication processes, characterization, and analytical methods.
- Conduct deep-dive material/Chemical analysis using techniques such as EDX, XRD, AFM, GC-MS, and similar methods.
- Summarize failure analysis findings in comprehensive reports and effectively communicate results with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Progress towards becoming a key technical expert in Chemical engineering, contributing to sustainable transit solutions and advancing leadership in cross-functional projects.
Desirable Skill:
- Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain (Good to have)
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
