1. Responsible for Project Management & New product Development

- Project handling experience with Volkswagen & JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is must.

- Manage projects from nomination, or receiving of an engineering change, to approval and parts delivery.

- Project Management during different project phases as per defined milestone.

- Responsible to meet customer targets with cost, time and quality, from Design Development to Prototypes to launch of Series Production.

- Planned Project Strategies considering all the risks involved and managed them by generating Build Support.

- Plans, Launch Plans and Project Timing Plans using Microsoft Excel Coordinated activities in APQP (from FMEA to PPAP).

- Planned and monitored project budgets, controlled the cash-in/-out to maintain positive cash flow for Projects.

- Maintained current, forecast and target commercials including risks and opportunities.

- Took Project make or buy decisions based on profitability analysis using Benteler Project Controlling Tool.

- Compiled commercial information, Assumptions and Restrictions to prepare quotations to customers.

- Lead the project development team and control the development for brand new parts or design change requests.

- Involved the Cross Functional Team in understanding customer Quality/Delivery requirements and target dates.

- Coordinated project related activities with teams from KOREA and India.

- Conducted successful Run@Rates, internal and customer, to prove planned Capacity and Quality before PPAP.

- Approved Production Line handover to mass production team after PPAP, Recorded Lessons Learnt for future projects.

- Monitored production line adherence to planned quality and capacity after line handover and SOP.

- Profitability check after SOP, and handover the results to the plant team to maintain for the production life.

- Project Closing by reporting Product Quality, Line Capacity, Lessons Learnt and Profitability.

2. Overall coordination with Supply Chain / Materials / Vendor Management Systems:

- Should have good knowledge and understanding of Tool development, Production, Planning & Control.

- Responsible for identifying & developing cost effective sources for outsourcing process / operations as per requirement and maintaining the Quality, Cost, Delivery & Development (QCDD)

- Responsible for formulating budget for timely procurement and ensuring optimum inventory and effecting efficient inventory controls of all input materials and spares for smooth and effective running of new product Development.

- Experience / Background details :

- Must have 12-17 years experience in sheet metal-based automobile industry out of which at least last 10 years as Project Management / New product Development.

- Good business acumen and man management skills

- Knowledge of Vendor Development for different projects.

- Expert in Tool Room
