Project Manager - Civil (10-20 yrs)
The Project Manager - Civil is fully accountable for the planning, execution, delivery, and close-out of civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed to client satisfaction within agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead all phases of civil project delivery from mobilization to handover.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.
- Manage project budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and lead high-performing project teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Oversee HSE performance and maintain safety standards.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Review and approve project deliverables including method statements, ITP, and progress reports.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
- Manage commercial aspects including variations and claims.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- 12- 15 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years as Project Manager.
- Experience in mining infrastructure or industrial construction in Africa.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent leadership and client management skills.
