Project Manager - Engineering Design (8-10 yrs)
Job Description / Responsibilities :
- The incumbent should have a flair for designing housings in injection moulded plastics and sheet metal, while maintaining the design (ID) intent.
- Should have a flair of designing linkages & mechanisms / working of products with all the mechanical engineering principles. Will have to convert ideas into working solutions.
- Expertise Solidworks/CreO a must.
- Should have good exposure to prototyping and manufacturing processes.
- Should be well versed with GD&T practices.
- Should have good exposure to CAE tools and validations, in order to coordinate with the external agencies.
- Be capable of handling engineering team & customers with apt product detailing as per company standards.
- Be able to educate team about new product solutions & adaptability to acquire & retain loyal customers.
- Be able to coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth functioning of the project at each stage.
- Propose creative / competitive designs to the Management to obtain more business opportunities in the market.
- Should have - on the job - experience in making designs from scratch and also in converting them in to real products.
- Good knowledge of plastic, sheet metal and other materials with their manufacturing process is a must.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential as the incumbent will also interface with the clients.
