Project Manager - School Infrastructure (3-5 yrs)
Key Responsibilities / Task List:
1. Define Scope, Deliverables & Timelines
- Collaborate with CSR partners, architects, and internal teams to finalize project scope.
- Identify critical deliverables for school infrastructure (classrooms, toilets, STEM labs, playgrounds) and soft interventions (CBE programs, teacher training).
2. Develop & Manage Execution Plans
- Prepare detailed project plans covering design, civil works, procurement, and partner deliverables.
- Track dependencies, risks, and resources using project management tools.
- Ensure plans integrate partner expectations and ground realities.
3. Cross-Functional Team Coordination
- Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and CBE teams for aligned project execution.
- Define clear responsibilities for team members and vendors.
- Resolve conflicts with school principals, local authorities, or vendors.
4. Budget & Resource Management
- Monitor utilization of CSR partner funds and project budgets.
- Validate Bills of Quantity (BOQs) with budgeting teams.
- Control cost overruns and suggest cost-effective yet quality solutions.
5. On-Ground Monitoring & Quality Control
- Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with quality, safety, and design standards.
- Track construction milestones and finishing quality (painting, flooring, furniture, branding).
- Detect delays and initiate corrective actions promptly.
6. Risk Identification & Mitigation
- Proactively assess risks related to civil execution, vendor delays, or government approvals.
- Develop contingency measures to safeguard project timelines.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for vendor reliability.
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain structured project documentation (photos, site reports, approvals, and changes).
- Share fortnightly/monthly reports with CSR partners and internal leadership.
- Ensure transparency and accurate communication of challenges and outcomes.
