Education : Diploma/Degree - Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities & Activities: - Site Engineer - HVAC

- Duties includes Preparation, Review, Submission & Approval of:

1. Shop drawings.

2. Builder's work for Electrical drawings

3. Shop drawings & sections for Plant Rooms/Service Utility Compounds.

4. Riser Diagrams.

5. As Built drawings.

- Surveying sites ahead of fitting HVAC systems and planning the placement of pipework, ducts and control panels

- Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean

- Installing HVAC components and performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required

- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects

- Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available

- Closely monitoring site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with approved shop drawings and specifications

- Preparing relevant documents to conduct inspection and testing for completed installation activities

- Assisting the commissioning team in pre-commissioning, commissioning and balancing stages of HVAC systems

- Following safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects

- Coordinating and managing any field survey tasks and personnel

Key Responsibilities & Activities :

Project Engineer-HVAC

- Reports to the M & E Manager.

- Checks issued construction drawings with the tender drawings.

- Checks Discrepancies in drawings and / or BOQ and bring to the notice of Quantity surveyor for claiming the cost variation.

- Take off quantities from the drawings, check quantities with BOQ and generate MPS. Forward the MPS to the Purchase Department through the Commercial Manager.

- Plan, schedule and organize the shop drawings with the Chief Draughtsman for submission to the consultants.

- Check shop drawings for errors and ensure that the draughtsman has highlighted all additional items that are shown in the shop drawings that have not been included in the issued for construction drawings but are require for proper functioning of the system are - Clouded- As Variation

- Immediately upon receipt of the approved drawings, prepare cost variation for the additional items that are shown on the drawings and forward to Site Quantity Surveyor. Continue following up with the consultants for an - Engineer's Instruction- .

- Attend weekly/Fortnightly progress meetings.

- Prepares transmittal note and forward the drawings to the Project Manager for submission to the consultants.

- Follow up with consultants for drawings and material approvals.

- Prepares draft of letters to be forwarded to the consultant and forward the same to the M & E / Project Manager.

- Carry out Heat Load calculations, Duct Sizing, check and verify the design. (in case of HVAC engineer).

- Keep records of all the verbal instruction issued by the consultant / client by generating - Confirmation of Verbal instructions- and follow up with consultant for converting the same into an E.I.

- Follow up with the consultants for an E.I. before proceeding with the procurement of the material where variations are involved.

- Raise queries to the Consultants for non-clarity of work in the drawings.

- Prepare Material approval Summary.

- Prepare Material Approval Sheets and forward to the consultant for approval.

- Follows up with draughtsman and ensure all - As-Built- Drawings are submitted immediately upon completion of the works.

- Preparation of material take-off, supervision of shop drawing preparation.
