Proposal Engineer - Solar PV

Department: Projects Location : Sharjah, U.A.E

Qualification: B.E/B. Tech in Electrical / Electronics

Experience: 3-5 Years

Reporting to: Project Head

A. Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Solar PV Simulation for Sizing and Design.

2. Shading Analysis, Solar PV Performance analysis, Efficiency/ROI calculations

3. Tender Reading, Preparation of Deviation & Clarification / Technical Data sheets

4. Preparation of drawings : Layout / SLD/ P&IDs, Auxiliary equipment sizing & releasing Enquiry Specifications.

5. BOM preparation

6. Vendor documents evaluation and approvals.

7. Participating in Technical discussions with Customer / consultant.

8. Value Engineering & Design Optimization.

9. Onsite commissioning support

10. Site performance evaluation, Performance Guarantee test response/troubleshooting

B. Critical Competencies for the Job:

Especially in Rooftop & Ground mounted Solar PV Systems of 2MW ( kW & MW Scale).

1. PVSyst simulation.

2. Electrical Design, Single Line Diagrams & Layouts.

3. String Monitoring / Combiner Box, DC/AC Cable, Inverters & Transformers selection,

4. BOQ Preparation, System & Cable sizing, Earthing & Lighting design

4. Knowledge of Standard Good Engineering practices & various codes .

5. Ability to work in cross functional teams, intra and inter department

C. Skills Required :

1. Eye for detail : Good at noticing small but important things.

2. Good knowledge of technical Problems & solving ability.

3. Problem Identification : Ability to Identify techno-commercial errors as a rule of thumb & then in details, specifically in the areas of costing.

4. SCADA & Remote System monitoring.

5. Interpersonal Skills.
