Role - PV Design Engineer

Job Description -

Role Overview:

As an Engineering #IDesigner at Job Engine, you will be responsible for transforming site visit data into high-quality solar designs. Using information from customer site visits, including photos and checklists, you will create detailed Aurora designs of potential solar panel arrays. You will then develop comprehensive AutoCAD diagrams that outline the proposed final solution, including panel layout, electrical schematics, and other critical details. Your designs will be the blueprint for our installation teams, with your success measured by how accurately your designs reflect on-site conditions and the ease with which they can be implemented. Additionally, your ability to produce a high volume of designs each month is crucial.

Responsibilities:

- #Design Creation: Develop precise and installer-friendly designs based on site visit information, ensuring high-quality.

#AutoCAD diagrams that are easy to execute.

- #Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs are accurate and reflective of real-world conditions, minimizing corrections from cities and utilities as well as the need for adjustments during installation.

- #Efficiency: Maintain a high throughput of design work, aiming to create a large number of designs each month without compromising quality.

- #Collaboration: Work closely with the installation team to gather feedback and continuously improve the design process.

- #Improvement: Stay updated with the latest design techniques and software updates, incorporating them into your workflow to enhance both quality and speed.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in #AutoCAD and experience in solar design software such as #Aurora.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality designs.

- Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly with installation teams, cities and utilities.

- Ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a focus on continuous improvement.

- 2-3 years of experience designing residential #solar #designs for US companies.
