Quality Head - Apparel Startup (15-20 yrs)

Purpose of the position is to lead the Quality function of this leading and funded apparel start-up.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to :

- Strategize, design and develop quality management system across the complete value chain for the format.

- Reduce the customer returns to the targeted levels

- Maintain cost of quality within the budget

- Minimize customer attrition due to product quality defects

- Delight the customer with zero critical defects in all products

- Ensure the compliance to the quality critical SOPs by Regional sourcing, QA and suppliers.

- Lead the regional QA teams for monitoring the supplied product quality from sampling to final delivery to DC

- Assess the supplier competence gaps to develop, implement and monitor supplier quality system management

- Ensure quality of fabrics and raw material

- Talent Development through functional/ systems/process training

- Build high performance team

- Keep abreast of developments in the industry

Skills, Experiences and Desired Attributes:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in quality management in textile industry

- Good experience in conceptualizing, designing and developing quality management systems

- Quality inspection, compliance audit experience is mandatory

- Good exposure to the apparel manufacturing environment in medium to large apparel manufacturing units

- Technical knowledge on manufacturing processes of textiles/garments/ accessories/Luggage

- Technical knowledge and skill on quality testing

- Technical expertise on quality systems and compliant management

- Leadership skills

- Communication skills

- Teambuilding skills and training skills

- Computer proficiency

Educational Qualification/other qualification : Textile graduate or Apparel Technologist or Diploma in Textiles with relevant experience in apparel.
