Quality Head - eCommerce - Kids Apparel Sector (15-20 yrs)

Our client is a fast growing kids-wear online store based out of Mumbai. Facebook- Co founder is on the board of directors and invested in the company. They want to hire a Quality-Head based out of Mumbai who can establish the Quality organisation for them and set the guidelines and the procedures.

Ideally you have 15+ years of experience in in the apparel sector (kids apparel preferred) who have managed a large team of quality technicians for a brand or large format store (ecomm experience is a plus). You have an edge if you have worked with cross border teams and international experience is a plus. You should have a track-record of getting things done - drive, ownership and execution are core to their culture. From a process standpoint, you- re someone who prioritises your day, and then gets things done. You are able to work well cross functionally to ensure that you get results. You should be able to point to multiple examples from the past which clearly demonstrate this. You should be open to travel to the manufacturing sites across India and also to China.

Reporting into the Head - Merchandising and Business Development, you will be responsible for -

- Developing Quality guideline, implementing quality process, team management and data-driven decision making.

- Understanding the needs of the customer, local regulations governing kids-wear and client's brand position to develop the their quality manual

- Building out and leading the team of quality control/ quality assurance technicians to implement their quality guidelines and ensure that all merchandise on the site meets minimum quality guidelines.

- Developing and implementing the process to set in place and monitor the quality standards of merchandise sold on their website, within agreed upon time lines.

- Solving problems and work externally and cross functionally to deal with issues as they arise.

- Monitoring customer feedback, NPS and return rates to identify problem merchandise and work with buying/ sourcing teams to take corrective actions with necessary vendors on quality and sizing parameters.
