Quality Management System Engineer - Automobile Industry (6-9 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Developing quality and inspection plans for the processes for new products and improvements, engineering methods, machine selection for the operation etc.,
- Initiating, developing and implementing quality planning, drive improvement programmes and initiatives based on customer focus.
- Implement and drive PPAP, FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, 7QC Tools, Why Why Analysis etc.,
- Attending customer complaints promptly within the stipulated time.
- Performing daily reviews with regard to rejections, rework, scrap and take corrective and preventive actions.
- Identifying new quality methods for products through automation and instruments.
- Fixation of quality parameters and perform daily checks to produced the desired quality product.
- Train and upgrade the skills of people on quality through planned training.
- Working closely with Customer Support, Engineering, Planning, Production, Vendors so as to put the system in place and achieve the desired quality of the products keeping customer requirement in focus.
- Developing quality culture & quality systems with vendors to align with BILZ and its customer requirement.
- Perform Supplier Audit, New Supplier Development and supplier training on quality requirements.
Job Specification :
- BE Mechanical Engineering in First Class with 6-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering activities.
- Should have at least 3-4 years of work experience in a multinational export oriented certified company.
- Should have thorough knowledge and experience in Quality Systems development and implementation and meet the responsibilities stated above.
- Should have process knowledge.
- Should have experience on in shop floor consisting of CNC Turning, Milling and Grinding Machines and Heat Treatment Processes and other Production processes.
- Should have good working experience in implementing vendor assessment, vendor approval and vendor quality development initiatives.
- Able to train and develop skills of employees on quality systems and processes.
- Fairly good knowledge on Steel Metallurgy.
- Should be conversant in handling customer quality requirements, latest QMS, EMS.
- Should have strong experience in conducting/ underwent supplier Audit as per the Quality systems
- Should be familiar with problem solving methodologies like 8D, A4, CAPA etc.,
- Should be good in written communication and TEAM
- Should be conversant with handling of basic measuring instruments and equipments.
