Quality Manager - Seafood Export (8-10 yrs)
Now we are looking for Quality Manager - Seafood Export.
Experience:- 8 to 10yrs
Key Responsibilities :
1. Online Quality Control (Process QC) :
- Monitor end-to-end processing activities (receiving, grading, peeling, deveining, cooking, IQF, glazing, packing).
- Ensure GMP, GHP, SSOP, and HACCP compliance on the shop floor.
- Supervise online QC inspectors and ensure critical control points (CCPs) are effectively monitored.
- Control product quality parameters such as size count, defects, temperature, yield, glazing %, and organoleptic quality.
- Verify traceability and lot integrity during processing and packing.
- Ensure proper calibration and usage of weighing scales, metal detectors, and thermometers.
- Take corrective actions for non-conformities identified during processing.
2. Compliance & Food Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with Export Inspection Council (EIC), MPEDA, FSSAI, and importing country regulations (US FDA, EU, UK, Japan, etc.).
- Implement and maintain HACCP plans, BRCGS/IFS/ISO 22000 (where applicable).
- Handle customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain and update SOPs, quality manuals, and food safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with social audits, hygiene audits, and internal audits.
- Manage residue monitoring, microbiological testing, and chemical controls.
3. Team Leadership & Training
- Lead, train, and develop Online QC and Compliance QC teams.
- Conduct regular training on food safety, hygiene, GMP, and export requirements for production and QC staff.
- Evaluate team performance and ensure adequate manpower planning.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure accurate maintenance of quality records, batch records, CCP logs, and audit reports.
- Review and approve COAs, lab reports, and shipment release documents.
- Prepare quality reports and MIS for management review.
5. Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with production, HR, engineering, and dispatch teams to resolve quality issues.
- Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
- Support new product development and customer specification trials.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of shrimp processing operations and export standards
