Job description

Roles and Responsibilities :

- We are looking for a mechanical engineer with experience in new product development with experience on 2 wheeler chassis parts, breaking system, suspension, frame, handle bar, trim parts, etc., will be acting as the central role between Design, Sourcing & Manufacturing teams.

- Understanding of new drawing for development planning.

- Preparation of APQP time plan according to project milestones.

- DFMEA, DFA, DFM,DFS review with design team.

- Analysis for NPD Parts Process and Product critical parameters.

- Studying past development records and collecting Benchmark data for both Product & Process.

- Concept finalization to Proto build.

- Discussions with suppliers from concepts to Proto build.

- Design reviews and project review with CFT.

- Responsible for cycle time study and assembly sequence.

- Responsible for submitting OK samples and getting feedback (Proto build & Initial PPAP).

- Single point contact between product design team and manufacturing and production trail run.

- Giving feedback to design team for necessary action.

- Reviewing APQP time plan with CFT team.

- Responsible for MCR (Manufacturing Change Request) implementation.

- Tooling, Gauges, Fixture & SPM follow up of supplier to meet manufacturing time plan.

- Preparing PFMEA, CONTROL PLAN, Dimensional Inspections & other PPAP documents as per project requirement.

- Product cost estimation for Proto Build.

- Material planning for Proto Build.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Candidate with Mechanical Engineering qualification

- Good communication skills is very important for the position

- Able to manage high volume work with multiple priorities and deadlines

- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing processes in 2 wheelers
