Role Objectives :

- In this role, the incumbent will leverage technical expertise to compile bills of material for quotation packages across a range of MV & LV switchgear products. The candidate will adeptly interpret customer requirements, align products with specifications and drawings, ensuring that quotes are both technically sound and competitively positioned. Collaborating with Sales Engineers, the candidate will clarify project requirements, comprehensively document contractual and technical terms, and demonstrate familiarity with bid strategies and market conditions. Additionally, active participation in the order handoff process will be essential to ensure seamless order conversion. Embracing innovation, the candidate will integrate new tools and technology to enhance operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Develop quotations based on material takeoff from engineered plans.

- Provide consistently responsive and high-quality service to customers.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in quotation development.

- Stay abreast of new products, industry trends, and product developments.

- Coordinate with internal Quote Support Groups to meet schedules and project requirements.

- Gather necessary information for quote preparation.

- Apply product knowledge and experience to make informed decisions about product specifications for specific projects.

- Actively participate in analyzing and responding to customer needs, product insights, market competition, and processes.

- Propose suitable substitute products when applicable.

- Download required specifications, plans, take-offs, etc.

- Undertake stretched assignments as needed.

- Flexibility to work in shifts to support remote teams in the US.

- Minimal travel may be required.

Additional Responsibilities :

- Provide input and market intelligence as required.

- Attend sales meetings and training programs as necessary.

- Proficient in AutoCAD.

Preferred Competencies :

- Knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear tendering, design, installation, and application.

- Experience using AutoCAD.

- Familiarity with relays and their functions.

- Knowledge of UL standards (UL 845, UL 508, UL 1558, UL891) is an added advantage.
