R&D Expert - Textile Machinery (4-9 yrs)
- To design and develop new products considering market needs and our core competencies
- To prepare assembly and detailed drawings for all existing and new products
- To control BOMs, drawings and specifications for all existing and new products
- Preparation of Product Drawings specifications for all existing and new products.
- To control of Bill of Material, Preparation of Assembly & Component drawings, Distribution of Drawings to concern departments, Update drawings as per customer requirements & distribute it to concern department
- Preparation of Engg. Release memo & Engg. Change Note, maintain customer approved drawings, maintain all the Drawings & obsolete drawings for reference.
- To provide technical support to manufacturing and service operations including analysis of plant and field quality issues
- To improve product designs using FMEA, DFSS, DOE etc. on continual basis
- Carries out detailed mechanical design and electro-mechanical designs work including CATIA, E CAD, 3D modeling, simulation and design verification testing, as required.
- Responsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost
- Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design reviews
- Keeps up to date with the latest manufacturing techniques and drawing standards
- Responsible for generation of components drawings, Assembly drawings for production, manufacture or purchase
- Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner
- Ensures the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design
- Works closely with manufacturing and production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacture
- Document work by preparing drawings, Bills of Material and ECN's. Select and specify tolerances, materials and processes for designs as required. Ensure that quality goals and objectives are met.
- Research new materials and methods of development, suggest modifications to develop and design to enhance quality.
- Analyze and respond to issues as it arrives, ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry and business standards
- Participate in the creation of Engineering Specifications, cost estimates, manpower estimates, task list and schedules
- Participate on Product Development teams and interface with Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Purchasing, vendors on issues related to design, manufacture and use of parts.
- Must be familiar with international standards and codes related to mechanical and electro-mechanical designs.
- To prepare new drawings as per customer requirement in relation with marketing/sales department & obtain approval from customer.
