Re-Materials - Modroof is an affordable housing company based in India.
We have launched our first product - a modular roofing solution for slums and villages in India to begin with. Our roofs are cooler in summer, waterproof in monsoons, offer usable space on top and bottom and are a superior alternate to metal and cement sheet roofing used globally
To truly reach millions of families globally, we are creating a roof-in-a-box that can be shipped and installed anywhere in the world. We are looking for a mechanical design engineer to achieve this.
Job Description :
- Should have worked with joineries & connections
- Should be able to work with our in-house developed materials and with plastics, metals, sealant, adhesive, coatings and composites.
- Solid fundamentals in product design including solid mechanics, 3D visualization and software tools.
- Ability to quickly prototype using available materials as well as using sophisticated tools.
- Lead the product development projects from concept generation through design, prototyping, testing, tool design and construction and production launch.
- Coordinate design and fabrication of prototypes for evaluation and testing.
- Work with Tooling and Product Design issues to ensure manufacturability.
- Prepare and present regular management reports on project status and achievement of required timelines and budgets.
