Reliability Manager - New Product Design - Automotive (8-15 yrs)

We are looking for an outstanding professional to lead Design for Reliability activities for one of the Automotive MNC client in Shenzhen, China

Manager Reliability:

- Provide Design for Reliability methodology leadership for New Product Introduction across Asia

- Manage and continuously improve Reliability Engineering standard work

- Specify reliability risk and validation plans for components and subsystems evaluating; market, application, usage and environmental factors

- Direct, and when necessary facilitate, the application of Design for Reliability tools including, but not limited to; QFD, FMEA, Geometric Design & Tolerance, Design Variation Analysis and Design Validation Planning, Factor Tree Analysis

- Provide cross functional team leadership for complex failure mechanisms, identify the physics of failure, driving robust design improvement activities through statistical design validation methods

- Research failure mechanisms to build more robust validation plans and influence design choices

- Influence supplier selection providing clear guidance on specific product requirements

- Evaluate and clearly communicate risk at each phase of the reliability program

- Ensure previous cycles of learning to new product designs

- Bachelor degree in Science, or equivalent technical degree. Master degree in Science would be an advantage

- Design for Reliability / Design for Six Sigma accreditation

- Management experience in product design, quality or reliability engineering
