Researcher - Product Application/Steel Structures Design - PhD (4-12 yrs)
The Context / Purpose of the Job:
Construction is one of the important market segments for Tata Steel. With expanding footprint, there is a need to not only maintain the current market share but also create new opportunity by offering differentiated service and unique product to the customer and building a working relationship with them. To this end, the job requires a person with adequate exposer in civil engineering design and associated tools. The main purpose of the job title would be to create a team of engineers who can address design challenges in construction segment and provide innovative solution.
Educational qualifications - Masters or PhD in Civil Engineering
Relevant experience (Type/ Nature and years of relevant experience required to execute the role) - 6 - 10 years of experience in construction/design of building/structure using predominantly steel
Technical Competence :
- This role requires knowledge of basic subjects of Mechanics, Civil Engineering.
- Should have proficiency in handling computer aided design tools and software to design and analysis.
- Should have experience in design of steel and pre-engineered building
- Should be familiar with different building codes
- Experience in CAD & FEA, ABAQUS, Staad-Pro will be an added advantage
