Rightbot - Senior Mechanical Engineer (3-7 yrs)
About the Role :
- The successful candidate will be a key member of the team. S/he will design solutions to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of a warehouse automation solution.
- The member should have extensive experience in mechanical system design, working knowledge of an extensive range of materials and properties, and demonstrate expertise in manufacturing processes and mechatronic systems.
Responsibilities :
1) Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing, and certification
2) Detailed "Design for manufacturability" knowledge across a wide range of fabrication processes
3) Extensive experience with 3D mechanical design and associated software applications such as SolidWorks, Inventor and Pro Engineer
4) Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Mechanical Designs
5) Documentation of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for Mechanical Systems
6) Involve in R&D for constantly improving the performance, reliability and life cycle
7) Active participation in production and testing of new hardware and systems
8) Documentation of Design, Manufacturing and Assembly processes
Requirements :
1) 3 years or more of relevant work experience.
2) Bachelor's degree in engineering in any discipline or currently in the final year of college.
3) Must have participated and excelled in robotics/robotic competitions eg Robocon etc
4) Demonstrate a strong ability to translate high-level functional requirements into professional and robust detailed designs
5) Thorough knowledge of materials and material properties
6) Working knowledge of electrical and electronic hardware and circuits
7) Strong communications skills and familiarity with fast-growing companies, the associated deadlines and high-energy culture that goes along with launching new products
8) Will to put forth extra effort when required to meet design schedules on projects where delivery time is critical
9) Self-sufficiency in building and testing mechatronic systems
Work Location : Bangalore
Preferred Experience : 3+ Years of relevant experience
