Job Title : Electrical Designer and Modeller

Job Description :

- As an Electrical Designer and Modeller in Revit, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Your primary focus will be on designing electrical systems for buildings, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and client requirements. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.

Key Responsibilities :

Electrical Design : Develop electrical designs for various building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communication systems.

Revit Modelling : Utilize Revit software to create accurate 3D models of electrical systems, components, and equipment.

Coordination : Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines such as architecture, structural engineering, and mechanical engineering to ensure compatibility and clash-free installations.

Compliance : Ensure that all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks on electrical models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.

Collaboration : Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to understand project goals and deliver integrated electrical solutions.

Documentation : Prepare detailed electrical drawings, diagrams, schedules, and specifications for construction documents.

BIM Management : Assist in managing the BIM process for electrical systems, including model coordination, clash detection, and model-based quantity takeoffs.

Technical Support : Provide technical support to project teams during construction, addressing any issues or changes related to electrical designs.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.

- Proficiency in Revit MEP and other BIM software.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems design principles and practices.

- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.

- Experience in building design and construction industry, preferably in electrical engineering or consulting.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.

- Experience with Navisworks or other clash detection software.

- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient electrical systems.

- Experience in coordinating MEP systems in complex building projects.

- Knowledge of lighting design software (e.g., AGi32, Dialux).

- Previous experience working on projects in various sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, or institutional buildings.
