Rotating Equipment Engineer :

Objectives : 

- Perform engineering, designing, supporting procurement, reviewing engineering documents and following up with vendors, support commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment for Production Facilities. 

- Keep abreast of Industry Codes and Guidelines related to rotating equipment. 

- Meet or exceed project expectations in a timely manner within the budget limits. 

- Co-ordination with intra / inter disciplinary team and provide the required deliverables as and when requested.

Activities : 

- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in sizing and selecting rotating/packaged equipment such as pumps - (all types), process gas compressors, instrument air packages, nitrogen generation packages, chemical injection packages, diesel generators, etc. used in plant and field facilities. 

- Create datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for rotating and packaged equipment. 

- Review, comment and approve or reject engineering documents from vendors. 

- Follow up on technical scope of work of vendors & Support process engineers in selecting type of rotating equipment. Perform calculations on power requirements of motors, engines and compressors. 

- Create specification of gas compressors, pumps, diesel generators, instrument air and nitrogen packages. 

- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering calculations. 

- Provides support to fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and client specifications. 

- Continuously improve rotating equipment engineering designs of Product Line projects to decrease equipment / construction costs and improve equipment reliability and life. 

- Perform troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, such as air compressors, pumps and diesel generators. 

- Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry Codes and Client Specification requirements. 

- Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment. 

- Provide support to processing facilities as required by Operations on engineering/technical matters. 

- Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change and revision control

- Gate B/C inputs - Sub-Contractor Evaluation (Construction Company & Fabricators) 

- Equipment configuration finalization 

- MDL & Schedule Project Execution Phase : 

- Engineering Deliverables - Project Audits (Internal process reviews) - As Built

Key Indicators : 

In depth knowledge of industry international codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, NACE, PIP, ANSI, ISO. Interfaces:

Prior Experience/Expertise Required :

Experience : 

- 5-15 years Industry experience 

- Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering, Management of Construction suppliers, Site Engineering support for Precommissioning, Commissioning activities Expertise : 

- Facilities Engineering and Construction, with strong Engineering background 

- Should have sound knowledge in Engineering, Installation and commissioning phase of large scale Oil and Gas projects.
