Senior Application Engineer - Presales (5-6 yrs)
Key Deliverables :
- Pre-sales Design Engineering for Industrial vertical (Water, Gas and Foam based systems) for all kinds of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refineries, Power plants, Food, Steel, cement manicuring facilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Pre-sales for Industrial projects
- Review Technical specifications of the projects to understand the project requirements.
- Preparing technical solutions for the design and build projects and presenting the solution with customers (System Architectures for all kinds of Mechanical, GSS and Foam systems)
- Designing of the Pump room, cable sizing, knowledge on Star Delta, Soft starters, motor sizing.
- Design of hydrant system for complete plant like fertilizer, oil terminal, refinery, chemical, other process plant.
- Design of sprinkler system for warehouses, non-plant buildings etc.
- Design of Spray systems for Process Pump areas, oil cellars, transformers, Gas compressors, Process Columns.
- Design of Water curtain system for heater areas, chlorine storage areas etc.
- Design of fire detection and alarm system. (Simplex, Notifier, schrack-seconet)
- Design of clean agent gas suppression systems. (IG-541, Novec 1230, FM 200, Co2)
- Designing of Pressure Vessels (Foam Proportioning Unit-Horizontal & Vertical Type) as per ASME Sec.VIII
- Designing of Skid Mounted Bladder Tank Foam System & Storage Tank Foam System.
- Reviewing & providing technical guidance to the Draughtsman in preparing General Arrangement Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Isometrics, P&ID, Plate Cutting Layouts, Technical Datasheets, etc
- Preparation of P&ID, Line List, Initial MTO, Piping layout
- Prepare engineering deliverables such as datasheets (GAD / P&ID), technical specifications, scope of supply, comments clarification sheets, deviation sheets, cost summary sheets.
- Prepare queries or comments sheet from project design package documents.
- Review of project documents like Piping material specifications, technical specifications, approved vendor list.
- Analyze engineering drawings & prepare cost estimates accordingly.
- Effective co-ordination with inter-disciplinary, vendors & clients
Reporting to : Engineering Manager - Pre sales
Key Performance Indicators :
- Time-bound delivery of project deliverables
- Developing good work practices
- Developing standard procedures to save time
- Minimizing number of Engineering changes
- High quality delivery
Pre sales process improvement :
Internal : Sales, Systems, Service
External : Customers, Consultants, PMC.
Travel Period : 40 to 50%
Experience & Qualification :
- Engineer (Degree/ Diploma) Mechanical / Electrical
- Hands-on experience in estimation of Industrial projects for Water mechanical, Gas and Foam systems
- Good knowledge on Mechanical Systems
- Designing Expertise on Industrial mechanical Systems
- Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
