Senior Design Engineer (3-8 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop 3D packaging concepts for new and existing products, aligning with Groz brand identity and functionality goals.
- Create precise 2D technical drawings and box structures using CAD tools, with full integration of FEFCO codes and industry standards.
- Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to model and visualize packaging solutions in both 2D and 3D formats.
- Prototype, test, and refine physical packaging models to ensure durability, manufacturability, and visual appeal.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Marketing, and Production to ensure packaging solutions are cost-effective and production-ready.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with international packaging regulations, including labeling, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of packaging materials, trends, and technologies, especially for industrial and engineering tool applications.
- Use SAP to manage BOMs, update packaging specifications, and track project development milestones.
Requirements:
- B.tech in Packaging Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in packaging design, ideally within industrial products or tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software - especially SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of FEFCO codes, corrugated board structures, and sustainable packaging practices.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for packaging data management.
- Strong understanding of materials, regulations, and manufacturing processes relevant to packaging engineering tools and industrial products.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
