Senior Design Engineer - Electrical (5-12 yrs)
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial utility and infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical systems across projects involving clean rooms, HVAC, utilities, and critical power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR) for electrical systems in industrial and process facilities.
Design and layout of LV and MV electrical systems catering to:
- HVAC systems
- Clean Room systems
- Compressed Air
- Process Cooling Water
- High Side Water Generation
- Emergency Power (DG + UPS)
- Effluent Treatment Plants
- Deionized (DI) Water Systems
- Provide inputs and technical guidance for AutoCAD drawings; experience with preparing such drawings is a plus.
- Prepare Bus Bar layouts, equipment layouts, and ensure proper space planning for panels and switchgear.
- Develop and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for all electrical components and materials.
- Specify, evaluate, and finalize electrical equipment based on design needs, capacity, and operational parameters.
- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams for integration and alignment of MEP systems.
- Support project execution and provide technical input during procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or similar tools would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant Indian and international codes/standards.
- Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
