Senior Design Engineer - HVAC/ PHE/Fire Fighting System (7-9 yrs)
We are looking for Sr. Design Engineer responsible for HVAC/ PHE/Fire Fighting system design activities of new and existing projects.
- Responsibility for the overall design of HVAC & PHE/Fire Fighting systems & deliverables, including Code Compliance, Concept, Scheme, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specification, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings).
- Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets which are then checked by an engineer or an architect.
- Research, design and document HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting mechanical equipment to meet client- s/ green building requirements in both large and small projects.
- Consult on HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters.
- Analyze HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation.
- Communicate directly with customers to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, and implementation of new HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting equipment.
- Good understanding of BOQs and specifications for tender documents and preparation & checking of drawings.
- Requires interaction with own and other discipline to complete design tasks. Coordinate structural and Architectural drawings with other services drawings to integrate with HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting drawings prior to issuance.
- Travels to client sites for project meetings, presentations, etc. & perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
- Preparation technical bid analysis report & be able to do vendor document review.
- Having experience in working in Revit (MEP) software will be an advantage
- You will be responsible for the timely completion of all Mechanical deliverables, specifications, drawings and technical requisitions within strenuous quality and safety criteria
- Managing team and taking care of their learning and training needs
- Responsibility for P&ID's & Schematic for utilities systems through all design stages: Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed engineering
- Building Management Systems - development of systems architecture, specifications controls strategies, sequence of operations through all design stages
- Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
- Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, and architectural and process to develop designs.
- Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and HVAC/PHE/Fire Fighting deliverables.
- Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
