Senior Embedded Hardware Designer/Product Manager - Semiconductor Equipment/Medical Systems (10-15 yrs)
Job description :
- Education : BE or equivalent. Master's preferred.
- Experience : 10-15 Years relevant experience in Embedded HW design
- Domains : High-speed scanning/imaging, Semiconductor equipment design, Medical systems design, Standalone embedded control system development etc.
Technical skills :
- Experience in Embedded systems designs consisting of 8/16/32 bit microprocessors and microcontrollers.
- Design experience on FPGA, knowledge of different tool chains ex. Intel, Xilinx etc.
- High-speed designs preferred 1GHz and above. Knowledge of optical-fiber communications is preferred.
- Experience on Analog, Digital, Power, RF and mixed signal design
- Use of sensors/transducers, analog signal conditioning designs for measurement applications
- Design experience on interfaces of ADC, DAC, DDRAM.
- Knowledge of Self-diagnosis systems
- Design experience on communication protocols Ex: I2C, SPI, WIFI, Ethernet, Ether-CAT, CAN, Profibus, Mod-bus RS-232/485 etc
- Hands on experience with electronic HW design level testing and troubleshooting
- Experience on handing EMI/EMC issues for CE, UL certification designs
- Power supply design and distribution
- Tarc Calculation
Additional skills :
- Experience on FW developments using, FPGA logic development etc.
- High-speed PCB design
- Knowledge of cable harness design
Role :
- Design embedded hardware for sensing and data acquisition requirements.
- Hands-on with schematic design using Xpedition(preferred), Cadence and part selections.
- Circuit simulation and proof of concept for the critical designs
- Create design documentation and create layout instructions for PCB design.
- Review schematic and PCB designs from sub-ordinates
- Prepare verification and validation documents for the HW designs.
- Part level, Board level, System level testing using bench testing using DMM, MSO, DSO, FG, Logic analyzer, protocol analyzer.
Managerial :
- Interaction with clients from different geological locations for input gathering, presenting the design at design reviews.
- Work under self-supervision without any technical help from supervisor, self-motivated
- Build & manage 3- 10 member design team involving hardware & PCB designers.
- Regular reporting of design and project progress
