Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager - Prototype Engineering (5-12 yrs)
Education - B.E. (Mechanical/Production) with 5+ years of relevant experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1) Assembly of customized prototypes/PoC samples meeting customer Quality & Delivery requirements
2) Benchmarking of competitor samples and trying to understand the design and possible cost structure of the motors/gearboxes
3) Understand the product requirement from internal customer (Design) and work with Process Quality Engineering team to develop new process for the concepts
4) Understand the testing requirement and coordinate with CFT to arrange the necessary tooling for the testing
5) Kitting of standard and new components, readiness of all sub-assy, and assembly of customized prototypes and PoC samples
6) Experience in CNC m/c to get the new parts developed internally/local tool room.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES :
1) Hands on experience to build proof of concept/Rapid prototypes/Prototypes in Prototype lab.
2) Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
3) Hands on experience of product testing
4) In-depth knowledge of using the Problem-solving tools (8D, DoE, C&E Diagram) to arrive at the sustainable solution
5) Working knowledge of CNC machining activities will be an added advantage
