Job Details : 

The job involves end-to-end activity in ceramic starting from the raw material selection to the manufacturing of the final product. The role holder has to ensure an understanding of the requirement and involves in sourcing, vendor identification, design, manufacture, quality check and assembly.

Job Requirements : 

- Education Bachelor's degree in Ceramic

- Relevant Experience Min 5 years of working in Zirconium ceramic-based precision parts manufacturing including raw material preparation (feedstock), green part manufacturing through injection moulding, de-binding & sintering processes.

- Experienced in machining/grinding of sintered ceramic parts to a high precision level.

An additional advantage - Experience in polishing ceramic parts.

1. Identify the suitable raw material grade & binder required for the watch case parts.

2. Identify a suitable vendor in the market for the decided raw material.

3. Planning of raw material quantity based on demand.

4. Validate & certify the raw material on receipt.

5. Explore the MSDS documents as per the raw material & incorporating the respective process.

1. SOP preparation for green part manufacturing as per the grade of the raw material (material size, colour, binder).

2. Carrying out trials & iterations towards finalising the injection moulding parameters & finalising the SOP.

- Green part manufacturing with shrinkage allowance Plan Vs Actual (quantity & lead time)

1. SOP preparation for the de-binding process as per the part complexity.

2. Carrying out trials & iterations towards finalising the de-binding process parameters like temperature & soaking time.

3. Production run of the de-binding process.

1. SOP preparation for brown part/sintering parts through the machining process.

2. In-process inspection.

3. Planning of tools, Jigs & fixtures.

Machined parts as per the drawing Plan Vs Actual (quantity & lead time)

Sintering

1. SOP preparation for the sintering process as per the part complexity.

2. Carrying out trials & iterations towards finalising the sintering process parameters like temperature & soaking time to ensure the part density and hardness.

3. Production run of the sintering process.

4. In-process inspection.

5. Interface with the injection moulding process for achieving the required accuracy of the finished product.

Final part as per the drawing Plan Vs Actual (quantity & lead time)

Quality

1. Agree on the quality metrics like FTA, yield and COQ.

2. Handling the rework & rejection as declared by the QED.

3. Scrap disposal procedure as per the materials.

4. CAPA as per the feedback from QED
