Senior Engineer - Electrical Design (14-25 yrs)
Responsible for delivering instrumentation and electrical design and drafting services, ensuring compliance with project scope, standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design & Drafting Services :
- Deliver design and drafting services that meet project, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret vendor/third-party design documents and integrate them into project designs.
- Identify design scope, manage changes, and mitigate risks.
- Participate in project and 3D model reviews to ensure design quality.
- Project Management & Coordination:
- Develop a list of deliverables and estimates based on project scope.
- Manage assignments to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Interface effectively with GID/HO teams and other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Compliance & Documentation :
- Ensure all drawings and documents follow established drafting standards.
- Maintain records of changes as per project change management processes.
3D Modeling & Technical Expertise :
- Utilize design tools such as Microstation, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software (E3D/S3D).
- Develop instrumentation deliverables, including layouts, diagrams, cable schedules, and termination drawings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in instrumentation and electrical design, preferably in Mining, O&G, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of control system interfaces and experience in brownfield modifications.
- Proficiency in relevant design tools (Microstation, AutoCAD, E3D, S3D, Navisworks, and Smart Plant Instrumentation).
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, control systems, PLC/DCS interfacing, and industry standards (Australian/European).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
