Senior Engineer/Lead - Suspension Systems (7-10 yrs)
Job Specification & Title:
Department: Vehicle System
Position: Sr. engineer / Lead - Suspension systems
Experience: 7 to 10 Years
Location: Chennai / Pune
Job Responsibilities :
Educational Qualifications Required:
- B.E., /B.Tech., in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering with 7 - 10 years
- Detail design of Suspension sub-systems and Suspension components
- Creation of SOR/RFI documents for proprietary parts if required
- System layout & envelope creation.
- System design finalization considering packaging & performance requirements
- Review the sub systems with supporting CAD engineer/s
- Conduct GD & T, DFMEA & DVP's.
- Participate in weekly project discussion with OEM customer & other stake holders
- Provide inputs to cross function team and continuous follow up with team for the closure of points
- Participate in DMU review
- Root cause analysis of build & testing issues and implementation of suitable solution
- Handle team of 2-5 design engineers
Experience Required:
- Work experience in Passenger Cars / Commercial Vehicles
- Hands on Design experience on Catia.
- Experience in Passenger segment sub- systems like front axle, suspension, wheels & tyres.,
- Sound knowledge about calculations, material grades, processes manufacturing processes, different material grades used for automotive applications
- Knowledge in BOM, GD&T, DFMEA, DVVP & DFA
- Customer interaction
Skill Set Required:
- Catia (Primary Software Skill)
- Creo (Will be additional advantage)
- MS Office tools
- Interpersonal skills
