Senior Engineer - Polymer (2-6 yrs)
Job Description :
- Manage relationship with outside polymer/rubber testing facilities to perform different material tests including not limited to Rheology, physical testing, chemical and analytical testing, Flame, Smoke and electrical testing; collect, summarize and communicate polymer/rubber data to functional groups
- Review customer and industry product specifications and develop material specification to ensure that product is meeting or exceeding those specifications
- Recommend process parameters, polymer compound modifications to the suppliers to meet product specification
- Perform material failure investigations to eliminate customer complaints and quality defects
- Write clear concise engineering reports documenting findings, recommendations and conclusions
- Work with product and industry managers to investigate best materials for the end product construction, to suit process conditions.
- Research the market and industry for new materials and products and best practices in these areas.
- Develop and maintain elastomer formulas and intellectual property.
- Create material specification documents.
- Assist with vendor qualification, verification and approval.
- Work with vendors to reduce scrap and implement best practise processes.
- Produce technical support documents to guide sales in applications of materials.
Salary:INR 6,00,000 - 9,00,000 P.A.
