Senior Engineer - Site Assessment - Renewable - Wind (10-12 yrs)

Purpose of Position

- The job incumbent is responsible for performing Site Assessment Such as Feasibility Study, Detailed Project Report (DPR),Wind Resource Assessment, Micro-siting, Energy Estimation, Residual Life Assessment of Renewable farm with specified requirements of National and International Standards

Major Responsibilities

- Site Assessment Such as Feasibility Study, Detailed Project Report (DPR),Wind Resource Assessment, Micro-siting, Energy Estimation, Residual Life Assessment of Renewable farm inline with National and International Standards.

- Identify the Gap and provide the assessment Report to the customer

- Interact and obtain the necessary additional documents from the Customer

- Interact with TUV Nord Germany

- Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

1. Client relationship - Retention and Growth.

2. Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures.

3. Internal and external customer service satisfaction (e.g. number of complaints)

4. Adherence of Project Time Schedule as agreed with Customer.

- Qualification

1. Graduate Engineer BE/ B.Tech (Energy / Electrical/Mechanical) with min. 8 years

2. Certification of ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor

- Experience

Site assessment

- Knowledge and experience in meteorology and physics of the atmosphere, WTG technology, wind data analysis, wind measurement technology, statistics, geographical issues and programming

Condition MonitoringSystems (CMS)

- Knowledge and experience in continuous monitoring of wind turbines

- Knowledge in drive train technology and interaction of components in the wind turbine

- Knowledge in measurement and sensor technology

- Knowledge in data analysis and monitoring software

Nacelle Assembly

- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing of Nacelles and Hubs of different types of wind turbines, procedures and quality assurance processes. Production processes

Steel structures, welding

- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing of steel-welding structures, procedures and quality assurance processes. Production processes.

- Knowledge of welding standards (EN 3834, EN 1090), welding procedures, equipment and documentation.

Castings

- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing of steel-welding structures, procedures and quality assurance processes. Production processes.

- Knowledge of casting processes, procedures, equipment and documentation.

- Knowledge and experience of material testing and properties

Concrete

- Knowledge in structural mechanics and verification methods for concrete constructions

Gearbox Test

- Knowledge and experience in the design and fatigue calculations of wind turbine gearboxes and on measurement technology

Rotor Blade Tests

- Knowledge in structural mechanics and structural dynamics of rotor blades

Electrical Tests

- Knowledge and experience of the electrical features of generator, transformer and converter

Commissioning

- Knowledge and experience in the electrical system of wind turbines and the interactions of the components.

- Knowledge of safety systems in wind turbines
