Senior Inspection Engineer - Oil & Gas (8-10 yrs)
- Plan and carry out fixed equipment/piping inspection via on-stream risk-based monitoring programs and downtime inspection activities including corrosion under Insulation (CUI) and corrosion under pipe support (CUP) on process piping and equipment according to the annual maintenance plan
- Identify the areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g. Dead legs, injection points, mix points, and corrosion under insulation).
- Assign damage mechanisms and corrosion rates to equipment based on process and environmental conditions to specify inspection types to be implemented at the next inspection.
- Identify likely failure mechanisms and expected rates of failure and advise on system recommendations through report reviews.
- Run criticality assessments for equipment following shutdowns to establish risk levels based on inspection results, Modifications to process, and modifications to equipment.
- Initiate inspection data reviews to confirm prediction credibility and establish appropriate inspection plans for the plant. Create a dynamic inspection plan with details of methods, location, extent, and frequency for each piece of equipment.
- Participates in equipment failure investigations using self-determined criteria for analysis to assess the damage, related costs, and reasons for failures to mitigate future risk in related equipment.
