Senior Instrumentation Engineer - Petrochemical/Oil & Gas (5-10 yrs)
Responsibilities :
1. Instrumentation Design :
- Develop detailed instrumentation and control system designs in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Create instrument datasheets, wiring diagrams, and other design documentation.
2. System Integration :
- Collaborate with the customer to integrate instrumentation systems .
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination between instrumentation and control components.
3. Technical Specifications :
- Prepare technical specifications for instrumentation and control equipment.
- Evaluate and select appropriate instrumentation devices and components based on project requirements.
4. Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in instrumentation technology and incorporate best practices into designs.
5. Collaboration :
- Work closely with project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements.
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
6. Quality Assurance :
- Conduct design reviews and ensure that designs meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the instrumentation design process.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in instrumentation design, preferably in e.g., Petrochemical,Oil & Gas.
3. Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, SPI, or other relevant tools.
4. Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, P&ID development, and control system integration.
5. Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ISA, IEC, NEC).
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
