Senior Manager - Controls Engineering - Engine & Vehicle/Instrument Cluster & Telematics (8-14 yrs)

Role: Controls Engineering for Engine & Vehicle, Instrument cluster & Telematics
Report to: Head of Engine Development
JD :
- Responsible for controls and calibration strategy development for diesel and CNG engines for variety of subsystems such as EGR, Exhaust After treatment, Turbocharger, ITV, ETV, Fuel Injection, Engine Protection, Drivability, Fuel efficiency.
- Develop requirements for control software to meet performance and emission target for the engine
- Carry out HIL testing on development software and Controllers using ETAS HIL.
- Implement control strategy features using Simulink on rapid prototyping controller with the help of other controls team members.
- Collaborate with EMS suppliers and external/internal partners to meet Project targets.
- EMS Terminal Diagram finalization, Initiate and update wiring harness schematic
- Instrument cluster and Telematics development & application collaborating with Suppliers
- EMS Calibration using Virtual test bed with SIL, MIL and HIL approach
- Control system calibration and validation experience on engine dyno and Vehicle
- Proficient with use of control system calibration tool such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, Delphi VISU, Vector CANape.
- Hands on experience of Diesel and CNG Powertrain controls and calibration.
- Model based controls design and rapid prototyping experience with tools such as OpenECU or Dspace.
- Hardware and software level understanding of CAN communication including protocols such as J1939 and familiar with CAN tools such as Vector CANalyzer.
- Experience with development and implementation of Onboard diagnostics (OBDI, HD OBD)
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting engine control hardware and software
- Experience with engine harness design
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced and Dynamic environment
- Knowledge of advanced controls concepts such as predictive and adaptive controls
