Senior Manager - Design & Product Engineering (7-12 yrs)
Position/Designation : Sr. Manager - Design & Product Engineering
Reports to : VP Global Head Engineering.
Location : Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore
To lead the Design and Product Engineering department for the Organisation towards generating greater customer value.
- Provides Project & Program Management capability to drive engineering projects.
- Daily management of design engineering department, budget and reporting.
- Continually seeking improvement opportunities to improve work efficiency and quality.
- Communicate results to global customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
- Mentor and coach work group, ability to manage cross-functional team.
- Collaboration with Production, Sales & Marketing and other global teams.
- Willing to travel Domestic and Internationally.
Minimum Qualifications :
- BE or B. Tech preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, etc.
- At least 5 years mechanical design related experience and 3 years people management.
- Demonstrated skill in decision making and problem solving.
- Good oral and written communication skill in English Language.
Preferred :
- Familiar with any of 3D design tools, eg. Solidworks, Pro/E, AutoCad, etc.
- Knowledge of ISO and other Industry Standards, GD&T, etc.
- Previous experience managing engineering design teams, engineering change processes, bills of materials management, and manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of engineering and operation processes and systems.
- Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency.
- Team player and open-minded, with systematic and independent thinking.
