Senior Manager/DGM - Battery Management System - Automobile (15-20 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and testing of BMS software for battery packs and energy storage systems.
- Define and implement software development processes, standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables and on-time project completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, firmware development, and system integration, to ensure seamless integration of BMS software with hardware components and overall system architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability while minimizing resource utilization and development costs.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to battery management systems and energy storage solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members to foster professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with product management and customer support teams to understand customer requirements, prioritize feature enhancements, and address technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with software development standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
Requirements :
- BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in Engineering. (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineers will be preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in Automotive Software Development. 8+ years in BMS Software Domain. Experience with battery management systems, power electronics, and electric vehicle applications is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully leading software development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Strong technical proficiency in embedded software development, C/C++ programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong technical understanding of electric vehicle systems and components.
- Experience in all standards/requirements for BMS software with respect to Automotive.
