Position- Sr. Manager- Landscape Architect

Experience-12-15 Years years of experience

Qualification- B. Arch./M. Arch.- Landscape

Location- Fort, Mumbai

Design Management

- To be responsible for landscape design and working drawings (Softscape & Hardscape) from SD, DD, CD & tender package drawings (review & comments), schematic elevations showing materials, tile sizes, typical paving details, typical sections, patterns, finishes, presentation, for inhouse projects and in case of external consultant appointed-analyze designs of landscape consultants etc. as required and for procuring required approvals from Government bodies & to facilitate smooth landscape execution.

- To plan / create design work based on construction schedule, customer needs as required

- To be responsible to appoint various consultants like Landscape Architects and other specialist consultants or vendors, as may be required

- To prepare details for outdoor lighting, fountains, wall murals, feature walls, pergolas, sculptures, play equipment in form of drawings and reference images.

- To be involved in selection of materials both hardscape & soft scape, electrical fixtures, play equipment and bought out items in conjunction with internal process / norms.

- To select plants / trees / shrubs adapting to the project design & location

- To assist in design execution of landscaping for interior projects as required

- Proposals- preparation of Landscape package, making presentations, BOQs

- To ensure Value Engineering of design quality, superior workmanship and proper execution at each stage to fit the project within budget

- To be responsible for the finalization of requirements & specifications in consultation with internal & external teams as well as project scheduling including material & manpower for landscape & horticulture.

- To anchor on-site landscaping activities & ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameter and effective resource utilization to maximize the output.

- To participate in project review meetings for tracking progress & troubleshooting & implementation of QA/QC procedures as per norms and standards for landscaping

- To liaise with external agencies, clients, architects and consultants for determining technical specifications, approval for execution and obtaining on-time clearances for landscaping.

- To be responsible for TBE for the appointment hardscape/softscape vendor.

Contract Administration :

- To coordinate for appropriateness of landscape packages received at each stage.

- To define the scope of work, stages & specify / propose budget, costing and time estimations of Landscape packages & the required rates for landscape execution.

- To plan, prepare BOQ, material specifications, arranging samples, provide estimate and obtaining budgetary approvals for procurement as required

- To be responsible for approving shop drawings submitted by vendors

- To carry out design / market research and recommend new concepts, ideas, materials, elements of landscape to improve the design skills and quality.

- To supervise & monitor all Landscaping & Horticulture activities including providing technical input methodologies, style of landscaping & coordination with site team.

- To be responsible for Captive Nursery Development, Maintenance, Plantation

Scheme, selection of plants, etc. at project sites as required and ensure-

- Water management through installation of sprinkler irrigation, and drip irrigation system.

- Usage of integrated fertilizers management in consultation with Horticulturist for better growth of plants and grass & Insecticides, pesticides and control measures for horticulture activities.

- Grading plans, dimension plans, drainage and irrigation plans, planting plans.

- To undertake regular site visit to supervise site team, monitor requirements and resolve

Bottlenecks if any

Computer Proficiency:

MS-Office, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Revit, sketch up, etc.

Areas of Interest:

- Landscape designing and Execution, preparing proposals, Co-ordination with site team and internal team, resolving issues, preparing presentations

Strengths:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Co-ordination skills,

- Strong follow ups with vendors, consultants, contractors, etc. Good in hand sketches. Ability & willingness to learn, Team spirit and optimistic attitude.
